From nine years

Concertino

Children aged nine and upwards hear well-loved classics – from »The Magic Flute« to »Hansel and Gretel« – in a series of moderated chamber concerts in the Berio-Hall. Afterwards, your child can try out different instruments for themselves as part of our musical merry-go-round. In the final concert of the series in the Main Hall, children can then experience the full spectrum of tonal colours of a full symphony orchestra.

Vorhören!

Music tells a story - but how do you decipher that story from the lines of notes? The »Vorhören! cycle aims to foster active listening in children aged eight and upwards. In the first part, the young listeners get to know a classical masterpiece, which they then hear performed in the second half live by the Vienna Symphony Orchestra in the Main Hall of the Wiener Konzerthaus.

Im Klang

Our family concert »Im Klang« or »In Sound« offers a spectacular change of perspective. As the name suggests, children aged eight years and upwards have the unique opportunity to sit among the orchestral musicians and look over their shoulder. In this way, the audience finds itself, as the title of the concert implies, directly »in (the orchestral) sound.«
