We welcome stars and shooting stars in the »Jazz« cycle: drummer Brian Blade provides the right drive - for the first time with his own formation The Fellowship Band; guitarist Kurt Rosenwinkel is also part of the party. Audience favorite Brad Mehldau returns with his new trio. The jazz ballads of multiple Grammy winner Gregory Porter are timeless and contemporary. If you love a swinging brass sound, the legendary Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra under portrait artist Wynton Marsalis is the right choice. With virtuoso improvisations, French-Syrian flautist Naïssam Jalal not only won the hearts of the audience, but also the coveted »Coup de Cœur« of the Académie Charles-Cros: she makes her debut alongside top local band Shake Stew. And the jazz series closes just as grandly as it began: with the long-awaited debut of the American Jazzmeia Horn, who need not fear comparison with greats such as Betty Carter or Nancy Wilson.
