Musik und Dichtung zu Mittag
Wa(h)re Gefühle
9 Konzerte mittwochs im Schubert-Saal
Saalplan mit 4 Kategorien (Schubert-Saal)
The »Musik und Dichtung« cycle tells of business and feelings: on nine lunchtime dates, we immerse ourselves in literature with readers such as Dörte Lyssewski, Regina Fritsch and Erwin Steinhauer, who ask about the relationship between economic circumstances and human behaviour: what happens when shipwrecked Adam in Mark Twain's story receives a one-million-pound note as a gift? Addiction to pleasure and the pursuit of power and money are the (sinister) ingredients of Émile Zola's financial novel »Das Geld«, while the problematic connection between love and wealth is the theme of F. Scott Fitzgerald's »The Great Gatsby«. The literary journey through crises and wonders is musically framed by Anton Gerzenberg and Mitra Kotte, among others.
