»We celebrate diversity«, is how Matthias Naske outlines the basic
orientation of the Wiener Konzerthaus, which he directs. Diversity,
openness, Plurality: The STANDARD subscription is also committed to this
diversity between classical, modern, jazz and world music.

Leafing through the Wiener Konzerthaus season program, it is hard not to want to visit this traditional venue several times a week. The STANDARD subscription bundles the variety into a representative selection of highlights. Classical music fans can experience top orchestras such as the English Baroque Soloists, Jordi Savall's Le Concert des Nations with Beethoven symphonies or the Orchestre Métropolitain de Montréal under star conductor Yannick Nézet-Séguin; conductor Mirga Gražinytė-Tyla finally meets the Vienna Philharmonic. Soloist? Yuja Wang performs Tchaikovsky's Piano Concerto No. 1, and other piano greats such as Daniil Trifonov, Khatia Buniatishvili and Yevgeny Kissin can also be heard. The Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis and singer Dianne Reeves will take the audience on a jazz journey. Lura & African Women All-Stars provide exuberant world music. The subscription offers a high concentration of what sophisticated music can achieve. The philosopher Confucius put it in a nutshell: »Music creates a kind of pleasure that human nature cannot do without.«
