3 Readings in the Berio-Saal
Sometimes a single moment is more truthful than an entire novel: for »Egal wohin, Baby«, Christoph Ransmayr has written seventy »micro-novels« to accompany his travel photographs, distilling the essence of life in just a few moments. At the reading from his latest book – including a projection of the photographs – he has jazz luminary Wolfgang Muthspiel at his side. Paul Maar looks back on an eventful life, a childhood full of fantasy journeys in a barren post-war period in »Wie alles kam«: the wonderfully narrated memories of Germany's best-known children's book author are accompanied by guitarist Wolfgang Stute and keyboardist Konrad Haas. Sofi Oksanen, an award-winning Finnish author and important literary voice of the North, who looks at world events between East and West and their reflections in the private sphere, will be our guest: she will read from her oeuvre, accompanied by Ukrainian saxophonist Andrej Prozorov with his very own musical commentary.
