Piano recital Yuja Wang
The outstanding pianist Yuja Wang, whose virtuosity never fails to astonish, returns for her third recital in the Wiener Konzerthaus. She took the world of classical music by storm with her breathtaking technique, which is not simply playing to the gallery, but is combined with an exquisite musicality. Asked which composer lies particularly close to her heart, she immediately shoots back: Chopin. His 24 Préludes op. 28 are on the programme of Yuja Wang’s recital in the Wiener Konzerthaus.

London Symphony Orchestra / Tamestit / Roth
Two years ago when the London Symphony Orchestra last performed in the Wiener Konzerthaus, it played works by Béla Bartók. On the programme this time is Bartók’s Viola Concerto, undoubtedly one of the most important viola concertos of the 20th century. Alongside this, François-Xavier Roth has chosen two other milestones of musical history, Debussy’s symphonic poem, «Prélude à l’après-midi d’un faune» – a key work of musical impressionism – and Bruckner’s wonderful «Romantic» Symphony.
