Light-footed Play
Prodigy or not: Alice Sara Ott has long since left the phase of talent awards behind her. She is now celebrated as a serious and mature musician, even if she still prefers to play barefoot. Sometimes a soft melancholic veil covers her light-footed playing when she immerses herself in the music. A brightening ray of hope awaits the audience with Mozart's Piano Concerto in C major K 387b, which the Salzburg prodigy composed for his own performance in Vienna. He explained to his father: »The concertos are ... very brilliant – pleasant to the ears – of course without falling into emptiness. Now and then, even connoisseurs alone can obtain satisfaction – but in such a way that those who are not connoisseurs must say they are satisfied with them without knowing why.«
