Intimate insights

»These four musicians:inside have everything you could wish for in people who play for you on stage: supreme virtuosity and deep feeling«, says Julia Lacherstorfer about the Simply Quartet. Founded in Shanghai in 2008, it soon gained a foothold in Vienna and is now one of the most up-and-coming and promising string quartets of the new generation. The repertoire of the multi-award-winning ensemble, which has been part of the Vienna Konzerthaus' »Great Talent« support program since the 2020/21 season and shines as an ECHO Rising Star, ranges from early classical works to modern string quartet literature. In addition to Lacherstorfer's work Un:fold, which is inspired by the musicians' personal experiences, Schubert's »Rosamunde« Quartet and Dvořák's contemplative Romantic String Quartet op. 106 will be performed at the upcoming chamber music evening.
