Would you like to get to know the musicians on stage better, and perhaps even ask them your own questions? This is possible in the »sound:chat« series, which offers a combination of one-hour concerts followed by a meet-and-greet. Musician, composer and actor Michael Stark will be on hand to guide you through the various musical worlds as your host and tour guide. To kick things off, pianist Giorgi Gigashvili will transport you into the world of virtuoso Romanticism, whilst also paying tribute to the sounds of his Georgian homeland. In her songs, the Viennese singer and pianist Bibiane Zimba blends jazz, pop, soul and African rhythms into stories about identity, love and life. The inn.wien ensemble stands for diversity and openness – here, almost anything goes! And with the Aires Tropicales Quintet, we’re off to Cuba.

Meet & Greet
After the concerts you can meet the artists at the meet the artists for a drink (not included in the ticket price) at the buffet. They are equipped with the latest records, chat from the sewing box and give give personal insights into their work. Moderated The Meet & Greet will be hosted by Michael Stark.

Music invites us to explore hidden worlds of sound. This naturally applies to the works in this cycle as well: Beethoven’s Third Symphony breaks new musical ground. Mahler’s Fifth oscillates between sorrow and joy. Dvořák’s Symphony No. 9 takes us on a journey to distant lands and is not without reason known as the »From the New World«. And behind Elgar’s »Enigma« Variations lie intriguing puzzles waiting to be unravelled. During the first half of the concert, our young audience will learn about the details and background of the works in age-appropriate workshops.
