Our cycle of exquisite ensembles and artistic brass music promises a tour de force through styles, tastes and volumes. We welcome blockbusters of Viennese concert life such as Thomas Gansch's Blasmusik Supergroup or Wynton Marsalis' Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with the suite »The Democracy!« by our portrait artist. Canadian Brass, another legend of the international brass music scene, will be making a guest appearance in Vienna. The Philharmonic Brass, an ensemble consisting of members of the Berlin and Vienna Philharmonic Orchestras, will be performing for the first time in the cycle under the direction of Tugan Sokhiev, presenting his vision of symphonic music. Special mention should be made of shooting star Philip Dizack. He returns to the Wiener Konzerthaus as bandleader and composer of a new program with the Vorarlberg Jazz Orchestra and Martin Eberle, one of Austria's most respected trumpeters.
