Andrè Schuen

Baritone

A truly meteoric career catapulted baritone André Schuen from the mountains of his South Tyrolean homeland to the great international opera stages and concert podiums, where the 42-year-old now feels at home. In the current portrait series at the Wiener Konzerthaus, the singer presents his lyrical side, performing Schubert's Winterreise and selected orchestral songs from Des Knaben Wunderhorn, as well as the cycle with which he made his debut here nine years ago alongside his regular accompanist Daniel Heide: Schumann's Liederkreis. In addition, André Schuen will take on the baritone part in Beethoven's Ninth and Benjamin Britten's »War Requiem«.
