New Elevator Mozart-Saal

Keeping this intensively used, over 110-year-old building functional remains a continuously challenging undertaking. Please support us in taking the next step in this direction!

In the summer of 2025, the »New Elevator for the Mozart-Saal« construction project was successfully completed. Right at the start of the season, the new elevator was put into operation in this highly frequented area and now offers completely barrier-free access to the right side of the »Mozart-Saal« — both to the stalls and the balcony. Some of you may remember that before the general renovation in 1998 to 2001, there was already a small passenger elevator (internally referred to as the »Kaiserlift«) in this location, but it was dismantled at the time and only preparations were made for a new elevator on this side of the stairwell.

Despite the successful completion of construction in the summer months of 2025, the financing of the project has not yet been fully secured. I therefore ask you to support this important construction project with your tax-deductible donation so that we can continue to fulfill our mission of making music accessible to as many people as possible!
