klangberührt: Basma Jabr Quartett

The guests at klangberührt are a quartet centred around Basma Jabr. The Syrian singer has lived in Vienna since 2014 and combines traditional Arabic music with elements of jazz and contemporary elements. Her expressive voice moves effortlessly through the complex paths of Arabic music and the subtleties of Arabic maqam. She glides from the softest tones to powerful passion. She has already thrilled audiences at the Wiener Konzerthaus with her musical accompaniment to a reading by Leïla Slimani.
