Camerata Salzburg / Buchbinder

The Camerata Salzburg will be Rudolf Buchbinder's dialogue partner for three of Mozart's concertos conducted by him from the piano – - the orchestra that has been closely associated with the Salzburg master's deeply personal piano concerto oeuvre since its beginnings: the ideal conditions for two concert evenings in which sparklingly melodic and clear, structural piano playing meets chamber music empathy.

Rudolf Buchbinder, who will celebrate his 80th birthday this year, has been playing the piano for 75 years and has been giving concerts for 70 years, spans the spectrum from the early Salzburg E flat major Concerto K. 271, which Mozart composed for the French pianist Louise Victoire Jenamy, to his first minor concerto K. 466, which already contains the drama of »Don Giovanni«, to the great C major Concerto K. 503, which points the way to Beethoven.
