Bohemian influence

Bohemia was a vibrant centre of music history in the 18th and 19th centuries. Camerata Salzburg is dedicating a special concert to this rich heritage under the direction of Czech conductor Václav Luks, who is very familiar to Konzerthaus audiences thanks to his brilliant performances at the »Resonanzen«.

Mozart's »Prague Symphony«
You can hear the »Prague Symphony« by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, which was once premiered in Prague and was to become a particularly popular work with audiences over time.

Works by Voříšek and Kalliwoda
The first half of the concert promises discoveries with the only completed symphony by Jan Václav Voříšek and the cheerful Concertino for oboe by Johann Wenzel Kalliwoda. Soloist François Leleux explores the lyrical possibilities of his instrument and emphasises them elegantly and virtuosically.
