The Viennese songwriters
Ernst Molden and Der Nino aus Wien are among the hottest Austrian pop musicians. Their next performance at the Wiener Konzerthaus will be their last together for some time. Ernst Molden has been playing at the highest level for years, writes Die Presse (Samir H. Köck): »Molden's new albums are among the most beautiful ever recorded in Austrian pop.« And Gerhard Stöger from Falter considers Nino Mandl to be the »best singer-songwriter of his generation«.
Musical foray through Vienna
The two spend an entire evening roaming their hometown – side by side, onomatopoeically, and also show where the really big role models are at home. With »Unser Österreich« they reached number 3 in the Ö3 album charts in 2015, of course without ever having been played there, and in 2021 they even reached number 2 with »Zirkus«. In autumn 2026 they also have some new songs with them. »Ernst Molden and Nino devote themselves primarily to local songs from the 1970s and early 1980s and give the works of Wolfgang Ambros, Georg Danzer, Falco, André Heller and Ludwig Hirsch a new, purified life. The often dubious and sometimes grandiose original arrangements are replaced by two guitars, and anyone who thinks that Falco's 'Nachtflug' has no place in this setting is very much mistaken.« (G.
