Gile Bae

Gile Bae is one of the most exciting pianists of her generation. She captivated her first audience at the age of five and enjoyed international success from an early age. Gile Bae has won several Steinway competitions and is a proud Steinway Artist.

She now delights audiences worldwide, most recently on an acclaimed tour of South America. This year she will perform in Asia and Europe, including in Seoul and Busan, before returning to South America to continue her social music projects, which bring music directly to the people and a wider audience.

In 2026, the pianist made her debut with the Camerata Salzburg, performing Schumann’s Piano Concerto, and with the National Orchestra of Costa Rica, performing Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 5. What sets Gile Bae apart is not only her technical brilliance and unmistakable stage presence, but above all her ability to infuse music with genuine emotion, excitement and vitality. She does not wish to preserve classical music in a museum, but rather to restore its meaning and joy – making it accessible to connoisseurs as well as to those attending a concert for the first time. Her approach opens doors, particularly for young musicians and for all those who wish to rediscover classical music: accessible, vibrant and full of feeling.

Following her acclaimed debut last year, when she thrilled a sold-out Mozart Hall with her recital, Gile Bae returns once again to the Vienna Konzerthaus. The programme will be announced shortly.
