Rising Stars
The four musicians of the Salzburg-based Javus Quartet had been playing together for many years in various ensembles before finally forming their quartet in 2016. Their development was significantly influenced by Lukas Hagen, the first violinist of the Hagen Quartet.
Classical, Romantic and Contemporary Music in the String Quartet
They have appeared as guests at the Vienna Konzerthaus on several occasions – most recently in May at the Gemischter Satz festival. Now they are juxtaposing the world premiere of a new string quartet by the German composer Oscar Jockel with music by the classical composer Haydn and the Mendelssohn siblings.
