For Jonas Kaufmann, this title becomes the motto for a programme dedicated to famous melodies by composers from Austria-Hungary – In addition to Goldmark, these are above all Franz Lehár and Emmerich Kálmán. Together with soprano Malin Byström and the Baden-Baden Philharmonic Orchestra under the direction of Jochen Rieder, Jonas Kaufmann will present highlights from »The Land of Smiles«, »The Csárdás Princess« and »Countess Mariza«, »The Devil's Rider« as well as the title piece from the opera »The Queen of Sheba«.
