Joshua Redman Quartet

With its new programme »Words Fall Short«, the quartet led by the outstanding jazz saxophonist Joshua Redman explores the limits of what can be said. Inspired by the writer Yiyun Li, the music revolves around experiences that defy language. Many of the pieces were written during the pandemic and only took their final form when the energetic band played together. Together, the musicians feel their way towards what cannot be explained, with room for spontaneous twists and turns and intense interplay.
