Louie's Cage Percussion

The six percussionists from Louie's Cage Percussion are bursting with humour, charm and enthusiasm. They recently wowed audiences in the Concertino programme »Boomtastic!« with a rousing stage show in which they combined acting, exciting stories and music. Now the virtuoso ensemble is presenting a pure concert programme that reflects the diversity of their instruments. Musicality, rhythm and soundscapes take centre stage: this is pure percussion, with everything that goes with it.

Varied evening
Louie's Cage Percussion pushes the boundaries of the classical percussion repertoire. Without shying away from contrasts, virtuoso fusion jazz in 7/8 time and the overture to Verdi's »La forza del destino«, minimal music elements and Claude Debussy's »L'après-midi d'un faune« come together. The humorous, scenic side of the percussionists is not neglected either: when the French chef enters the stage or the boomwhackers are spread out on stage, humour and entertainment at the highest level are guaranteed!
