Louie's Cage Percussion

The six percussionists from Louie's Cage Percussion are bursting with wit, charm and enthusiasm. They recently wowed audiences in the Concertino program »Boomtastic!« with a rousing stage show in which they combined acting, exciting stories and music. Now the virtuoso ensemble presents a pure concert program that reflects the diversity of their instruments. Musicality, rhythm and soundscapes are brought to the center of attention: here you will find pure percussion, with everything that goes with it.

An evening full of variety

Louie's Cage Percussion pushes the boundaries of the classical percussion repertoire. Without shying away from contrasts, virtuoso fusion jazz in 7/8 time and the overture to Verdi's »La forza del destino«, minimal music elements and Claude Debussy's »L'après-midi d'un faune« come together. The humorous, scenic side of the percussionists is not neglected either: when the French chef enters the stage or the boomwhackers are spread out on stage, humor and entertainment at the highest level are guaranteed!
