Martin Grubinger / Percussive Planet Ensemble / MyGroove SUPERBAND

A concert that connects generations and sends out a strong signal in favour of making music together: The MyGroove SUPERBAND – a 150-piece mega band made up of dedicated amateur musicians of all ages – performs rock, pop and R&B songs on stage. They have been working on these songs for months with the help of the music learning app MyGroove.

From the app to the band
Co-founder of the app is Martin Grubinger. »For everyone«, reports the percussion legend, »it's only half the story if all the hours spent in the MyGroove app, the joint workshops, band rehearsals and jam sessions don't result in a joint concert.« That's why the MyGroove SUPERBAND was formed, which recently played at Vienna's Rathausplatz and will now also be performing at the Wiener Konzerthaus, »my musical home here in Austria«, says Grubinger.

One-off comeback
But that's not all: Martin Grubinger himself will be making a brief and one-off comeback: »I will be rounding up my boys from  ›The Percussive Planet‹  and playing a 30-minute concert programme with them.« A powerful support band at the beginning of the SUPERBAND concert: »We will get our instruments out of storage again, get our muscles going and rehearse our  ›Greatest Hits‹ for this one moment in the Vienna Konzerthaus. Yes, I'm also curious to see if I've still got it!« What a groovy reunion!
