Lise de la Salle performs Mozart’s Piano Concerto K 503
Interpreting music is less about spontaneous inspiration than about what one already carries within oneself – Lise de la Salle is convinced of this. The French pianist knew from early childhood what she wanted to become. Having already impressed audiences at the Vienna Konzerthaus since 2010 with works by Liszt, Chopin, Beethoven, Grieg, Bach and Ravel, amongst others, you can now experience her performing Mozart’s late Piano Concerto in C major, K. 503.
Symphonic works by Emilie Mayer and Ludwig van Beethoven
The Vienna Symphony Orchestra opens the concert, conducted by Riccardo Minasi, with the Faust Overture by Emilie Mayer, one of the few women who successfully composed symphonic music in the 19th century. Finally, Ludwig van Beethoven’s popular Third Symphony, the »Eroica«, is on the programme.
