Back to the future
Attention! This concert contains stylistic mixes and cross-genre sounds! Those who are not afraid of amplifiers and percussion should not miss this programme. Anastasia Kobekina, who recently released a recording of Bach's cello suites, tries her hand at jazzy and rocky sounds with Friedrich Gulda's cello concerto. Conductor Jean-Christophe Spinosi pays homage to his idols Antonio Vivaldi and rock guitarist Eddie Van Halen. Before Alan Silvestri takes us back to the future, we hear Joseph Haydn's »bear symphony« in C major, whose humming basses in the final movement evoked the image of a dancing bear among contemporary listeners.
