Description

2027 marks the 200th anniversary of Ludwig van Beethoven's death, and performing his nine symphonies – the centrepiece of the great symphonic repertoire – in this anniversary year is both a duty and a pleasure. Jakub Hrůša has been Chief Conductor of the Bamberg Symphony Orchestra since 2016 and is also Music Director of the Royal Opera House Covent Garden and Chief Conductor Designate of the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra. With »his« Bamberg Symphony Orchestra, whose high standard he has been able to raise to an even higher level in ten years of collaboration, he will perform »all new« on four evenings at the beginning of June in the order in which they were written.
