Description
Great literature, burning topics, masterful performances! This is what you will experience at »Literatur im Konzerthaus«. In a live radio play, the phantom from Gaston Leroux's novel roams the Paris Opera House. The little nightingale from H. C. Andersen's fairy tale sings about her fate of being displaced by a music automaton: World star Nina Hoss and flautist Marina Piccinini's evening not only touches on current issues, but also touches the heart. Markus Meyer and the Frank Dupree Trio take us back to the jazz age of the 1920s with the satire »Blondinen bevorzugt« and take aim at stereotypical gender roles and capitalist America. Homages to two great Austrian writers – Karl Kraus and Thomas Bernhard – are created by Nicholas Ofczarek and Robert Palfrader as well as Jörg Ratjen. Even Glenn Gould sets the tone.
