Due to the great interest in the »Klangforum Wien« cycle, the space available in the events in the Mozart Hall is already almost exhausted. You can order the two concerts taking place in the Great Hall, in combination with a repeat of the subscription concert on February 28, 2026 in the Mozart Hall, as part of the special cycle »Klangforum Wien: Kleiner Zyklus«
Gorges are like cracks and axes. Standing in them, we can feel the proximity to a magmatic inferno and at the same time, looking far up, along the contours of the horizon, we can survey the universe, deep into the starry firmament. In seven concerts, Klangforum Wien stakes out a compositional territory that is all about converging forces, diverging boundaries, brightly shining stars, minimal tectonic shifts and iridescent light. Man as listener stands in this terrain in all his homelessness, surrounded by the glow and starry shimmer of the new. The never-before-heard, the unheard, that which can be heard far from the universe on the one hand and deep from the interior of planet earth on the other, manifests itself in sounds that carry something completely unspent within them. With »Canyon«, Klangforum Wien presents an advanced polyphony of positions with an aesthetic openness that is bound to interest and inspire.
