Precious objects from the Schlägl Abbey Archives

The Premonstratensian canonical monastery of Schlägl in the upper Mühlviertel is still today not only the spiritual center of the region, but also acts as an important cultural initiator. The rich musical collection of the monastery archive is still in the process of being presented to a wider public, with Gunar Letzbor's Ars Antiqua Austria playing a pioneering role. Thus, in this concert, the audience will gain insights into the high quality of music-making in the monastery at the turn of the 18th and 19th centuries through works by Antonín Kammel, Leopold Hofmann, Johann Baptist Vanhal or Carl Stamitz.
