Klaus Mäkelä in his double role

Klaus Mäkelä, the youngest of the great star conductors of our time, can be experienced this evening not only in this role, but also in his original role as a cellist. Alongside the even younger Swedish star violinist Daniel Lozakovich, he will perform Johannes Brahms' Double Concerto, conducting the Oslo Philharmonic from the cello, of which he has been chief conductor since 2020. He will only take to the conductor's podium in the second part of the concert, which is dedicated entirely to the music of Brahms.
