Dorothee Oberlinger

Recorder virtuoso, chamber musician, and conductor

For decades, she has been one of the most versatile, successful and well-known representatives of historical performance practice: the award-winning German recorder virtuoso, conductor, professor and artistic director Dorothee Oberlinger. In its current season, the Wiener Konzerthaus is dedicating a series of portraits to her, allowing her to shine in all her artistic facets. Whether at the helm of her Ensemble 1700 in a large ensemble, as a music educator, a phenomenal chamber musician as part of »Resonanzen« 2026 or in a highly unconventional duo with violist Nils Mönkemeyer - Dorothee Oberlinger never ceases to fascinate with her sparkling musicality and enormous stage presence.
