A need for music – because sound moves us.
Cultural participation has always been a core value at the Wiener Konzerthaus, because music brings people together and creates unforgettable moments. »klangberührt« promotes a sense of togetherness on equal terms. The four inclusive and largely accessible concerts are aimed at people with and without disabilities aged 16 and over. In the Schubert-Saal, the distance between the musicians on stage and the audience is reduced. This creates an open atmosphere in which spontaneous reactions and emotions are not only permitted but expressly welcomed. Light and colours appeal to all the senses and enable a holistic approach to music. Music educator Lilian Genn welcomes blind bassist and composer Ciara Moser, balafon player Mamadou Diabate, singer and violinist Phoebe Violet, and the wind players of the Aires Tropicales Quintet to »klangberührt«. Look forward to four varied concerts featuring music that moves and touches the soul!

School concerts for inclusive classes
Recommended for children and young people aged 10–14In the 26/27 season, our inclusive concert format »klangberührt« will continue as a school concert. The concert experience is aimed at inclusive school centres and integration classes with pupils with and without disabilities aged between 10 and 14. The programme is free of charge.
For the format, the distance between the stage and the audience in the »Schubert-Saal« is reduced. The result is a concert format in which a lot is possible and allowed: a space in which students can spontaneously articulate their feelings and emotions - barrier-free, in the best sense of the word.
Music mediator Lilian Genn interacts with the audience, and the use of light and colour appeals to all the senses - enabling a holistic and comprehensive approach to listening to music.
