Abschlusskonzert Patenschule MS Brüßlgasse

In the 2025/26 season, we are delighted to welcome the Brüßlgasse secondary school in Vienna's 16th district as a sponsor school. Pupils can use the entire education programme of the Wiener Konzerthaus free of charge and have already been able to take part in guided tours, workshops, classroom concerts and school concerts in recent months.

Creative process & artistic collaboration
The highlight of the sponsored school project is the conceptualisation of a concert in the Berio Hall of the Wiener Konzerthaus, in which pupils perform on stage themselves. In collaboration with minciospace_, a new centre for music, art development and collective exchange in the 15th district, the artists Verena Giesinger, Lukas Kranzelbinder, Yasmo and Sonja Marlis have been regular guests at the school for workshops since the beginning of March.

From the idea to the performance
The students' own ideas on the topic of »self/determined« were taken up in the areas of text, rap, composition, song and dance and assembled into a performance. The pupils are supported by students from the mdw – University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, who attend the course »Special Methods of Music Teaching« as part of their teacher training programme.
