Chris Potter Trio

Chris Potter is one of jazz’s most influential saxophonists. As a much sought-after sideman – working with Dave Holland, John Scofield and Pat Metheny, amongst others – he quickly developed his own style: he blends post-bop, experimental jazz, groove-based music and electronic textures.

Since his debut in October 2002, Chris Potter has appeared at the Vienna Konzerthaus on numerous occasions. To kick off »Jazz unplugged«, he will be performing for the first time with Matt Brewer and Kendrick Scott. The Grammy-nominated saxophonist, composer and bandleader is thus bringing one of the busiest bassists of our time and a true drumming legend to his side. The trio presents music that is deeply rooted in tradition and is developed spontaneously with the utmost virtuosity, yet remains light-footed.
