La Philharmonica
Clear the stage for the first female ensemble from the ranks of the Vienna Philharmonic! La Philharmonica was founded in early 2024, combines string and woodwind instruments and stands for Viennese sound culture, virtuosity and unbridled joy in music-making. The six musicians perform in different constellations or with guests such as pianist Mitra Kotte or violist Daniela Ivanova.
From classical music to the 21st century
Their repertoire ranges from popular »classics« to opera and film music hits and contemporary compositions. La Philharmonica's Konzerthaus debut is just as varied: Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's »Figaro«-Overture meets two commissioned works by Tristan Schulze and Georg Breinschmid as well as works by female composers Constanze Geiger, Anna Gräfin Buttler-Stubenberg and Mathilde von Kralik.
