Between passion and harmony
The centrepiece of the evening is Alban Berg's mysterious »Lyric Suite«, which is closely linked to his love for Hanna Fuchs and is particularly close to the Leonkoro Quartet's heart. The ensemble also dedicates itself to Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy's early String Quartet op. 13, which combines echoes of Ludwig van Beethoven's work with romantic elements that are simply »typically Mendelssohn«.
