Unique sing-along project: A celebration for Handel

Not just listening to great choral music, but becoming part of it yourself: At »Sing on Stage: A Festival for Handel«, 150 selected amateur singers perform together with the Vienna Singakademie and the original Barucco – sound orchestra in the midst of the professional concert business and on the stage of the Vienna Konzerthaus.

From rehearsal to the big performance
Under the direction of Heinz Ferlesch, an impressive collective sound is created in just a few days of intensive rehearsals. »Sing on Stage« offers not only the opportunity to be part of an extraordinary concert project, but also a rare glimpse behind the scenes of a major concert organisation. Side by side with professional musicians, the participants experience the entire journey – from concentrated rehearsal work and musical exchange to the public performance in the prestigious Great Hall, when 300 voices fulfil it together.

Further information on registration can be found here.

Rousing choral music by Handel
The programme includes famous works by Georg Friedrich Händel – including rousing choruses from »The Messiah«, »Alexander's Feast« or »Judas Maccabaeus«. »Sing on Stage« is for everyone who lives and loves choral music. Family members and all singing enthusiasts are cordially invited to experience this concentrated wealth of sound live – a musical event that will live long in the memory.
