Resonances

Hands touch, grasp, create and destroy; they bring about both good and evil. They fold in prayer and clench into fists. Without hands, there would be (almost) no music for you to applaud! The »Resonanzen« 2027 explore the many different aspects of these universal human tools, from their function, preserved in linguistic usage and preceding rational thought, as an archaic means of understanding the world, right through to their most refined artistic expressions. The line-up includes: the Scottish Dunedin Consort with Handel’s »Belshazzar«, Graindelavoix with a programme of Mannerist music, La fonte musica exploring aspects of late medieval memory culture, the Prague Collegium 1704 with a tribute to the eccentric style of Jan Dismas Zelenka, The Fine Hand and many more.
