»Hände«16/01/27–23/01/27
Our Early Music Festival, featuring music from the Middle Ages to the Baroque period
The »Resonanzen« festival presents early music in all its diversity, whether it be a dramatic Baroque oratorio, Renaissance vocal polyphony, a harpsichord recital, medieval gems or sounds from ancient Andalusia. Renowned ensembles such as the British Dunedin Consort with John Butt, the Ensemble Micrologus with Patrizia Bovi, Graindelavoix with Björn Schmelzer, la fonte musica with Michele Pasotti, and the Collegium 1704 & Collegium Vocale 1704 with Václav Luks are all featured, alongside relatively new ensembles such as The Fine Hand and opia, as well as soloists such as the harpsichordist Léon Berben. Alongside Handel’s dramatic »Belshazzar«, the programme features solemn sacred works by Jan Dismas Zelenka, motets by Josquin Desprez and Guillaume Dufay, madrigals by Carlo Gesualdo, Bach’s ‘The Art of Fugue’, fiddle and flute music from early Canada, and much more.
Special Offers Related to the Main Concerts
