Description
The Company of Music is celebrating its 25th anniversary with a programme that ranges from the late Renaissance to classical modernism and contemporary music. And this season, too, it is in the best company, this time exclusively British: the ensemble VOCES8, a regular guest at the Wiener Konzerthaus for ten years, begins with William Byrd, but otherwise celebrates mainly the American choral landscape. The ever-rejuvenating King's Singers can look back on four decades of presence, presenting a repertoire that ranges from Hildegard von Bingen to contemporary pop music. Finally, the Tenebrae Choir, founded by former King's Singer Nigel Short, will make its debut with a sacred programme.
