Description

Diana Krall, a true superstar, opens the »Jazz« cycle. She is followed by one of the best in his field, namely double bassist Christian McBride, who looks back on the work of the legendary bassist with the program »Remembering Ray Brown«. Saxophone legend Kenny Garrett celebrates his debut with us: having become famous as Miles Davis' sideman from 1986 to 1991, he has influenced an entire generation of saxophonists with his unmistakable sound. Cuban pianist Harold López-Nussa will be performing with his own trio for the first time. The band has a fresh album in its luggage that will delight with its rhythmic finesse. Together with Charlie Hunter, singer Kurt Elling has launched the »SuperBlue« project, a sequel to his 2020 Grammy-winning album »Secrets Are The Best Stories«. Finally, another saxophone legend awaits us: Joshua Redman is coming to the Wiener Konzerthaus with a new band to round off the cycle.
