Description
Classical and classicist works characterise this cycle. In addition to the fixed starters Camerata Salzburg and the Vienna Chamber Orchestra, high-calibre guest ensembles will once again be performing: The Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen will perform with its Principal Guest Conductor Tarmo Peltokoski. The up-and-coming Kammerakademie Potsdam with François Leleux and Emmanuel Pahud and the tradition-steeped Academy of St Martin in the Fields with portrait artist Augustin Hadelich make the choice of cycle option a difficult one. The cycle is given lustre by a colourful line-up of renowned soloists: Daniel Ottensamer, Vilde Frang, Yulianna Avdeeva and Alexandre Tharaud. Particular highlights are the performances of Beethoven's only oratorio »Christus am Ölberge«.
