Beautiful, passionate and virtuosic – this is how some of the world's best instrumentalists celebrate one of the central genres of chamber music. The four-part celebration of the piano trio ranges from dance-like Viennese Classicism and glowing Romanticism to delicate shades of Impressionism and a youthful work by Shostakovich, bringing together such illustrious guests as Lisa Batiashvili, Gautier Capuçon and Jean-Yves Thibaudet as well as Vilde Frang, Maximilian Hornung and Denis Kozhukhin. We welcome the Sitkovetsky Trio, a first-class ensemble that has won prestigious prizes, which is now enriching the cycle after its successful Konzerthaus debut in 2024. In 2021, the Boriso-Glebsky – Hakhnazaryan – Tchaidze Trio gave its first concert at the Wiener Konzerthaus and has since become a favorite of piano trio audiences.
