This season, the repertoire presented by international specialists in historical performance practice in the »Originalklang« cycle ranges from before Bach to after Mozart. The stars in the arena of the Great Hall are the two current portrait artists Dorothee Oberlinger and Jakub Józef Orliński. While the »Queen of the Recorder« will be performing an atmospheric Christmas program with her Ensemble 1700 and four Italian folk musicians, the brilliant Polish star countertenor will be intoning unknown arias by Dresden's vice court conductor Giovanni Ristori. The women's orchestra of Jordi Savall's Concert des Nations, founded in allusion to Vivaldi's Venetian girls' bands, will play gems from the lagoon city. With a vocal program in a special hall setting, in which the ensemble - surrounded by the audience - is positioned in the middle of the hall, Pichon creates an intimate atmosphere and guarantees moving musical moments. Last but not least, we look forward to hearing the Norwegian Barokksolistene and Alina Ibragimova's quartet again in the Mozart-Saal.
