All Classic

Finnish conductor Sakari Oramo leads the Wiener Symphoniker and the Wiener Singakademie, including a top-class cast of singers, solemnly through the turn of the year: Beethoven's setting of Schiller's ode »To Joy«, which immediately became popular, forms the highlight of the New Year's Eve events at the Wiener Konzerthaus. Those who wish to welcome the New Year with this work, whose radiance has remained unbroken since its Viennese premiere in 1824, will have three opportunities to do so.
