Chansons full of Lightness and Happiness
The most successful French singer in the world? ZAZ! Born as Isabelle Geffroy in Tours, France, ZAZ is repeatedly compared to names like Edith Piaf and Ella Fitzgerald, and her unmistakable voice is celebrated around the world. Now the French temperament bundle full of emotion returns to the Vienna Konzerthaus, bursting with charm, bonne humeur and unique musicality. France's best-known voice of nouvelle chanson presents, among other things, the chansons from her new album »Isa«. Since her groundbreaking hit »Je veux,« ZAZ has won a multitude of awards, including the ECHO in the category »Best Artist International Rock/Pop.« »Imagine« is the name of her latest hit, in which she dreams of a better world for our children. However, ZAZ does not limit herself to musical messages; she has long been actively involved in environmental protection and nature conservation with her foundation Zazimut or with the organization Colibri for climate protection and education.
ZAZ is an artist with whom people all over the world can identify and who is also highly appreciated by colleagues. She has worked with artists such as Quincy Jones and Charles Aznavour. Quincy Jones noted that ZAZ had »real blues roots in her voice, you'd swear she came straight out of the ghetto!« And Charles Aznavour said of her, »ZAZ has a strong natural draw, can sing anything and gets right through to your soul. She goes as far as she can go – and then even further. She has [...] a unique career, a following and international recognition. She is the first French singer in a long time to succeed in being so enormously popular.«
