Multi-layered soundscapes with Anja Om Plus
The music of Anja Om Plus is like a changing stage set: sometimes delicate and chamber music-like, then again rhythmically pulsating, with jazzy undercurrents and moments of pure vocal ecstasy. The six-piece ensemble around composer and singer Anja Obermayer unfolds a sound that is both intimate and expressive: carried by piano, guitar, floor tom and synth bass, permeated by voices that interweave, circle and flow against each other.
At the Wiener Konzerthaus, the band presents songs from their latest album »Tiny Little Boat« and takes you on an artistic journey between chamber pop, jazz and complex polyphony. The songs tell of departure and vulnerability, of calm and counter-current - like a small boat on the open sea.
