The »Mittagsmusik« cycle features numerous debuts by up-and-coming artists: The Italian Filippo Gorini, winner of the Borletti-Buitoni Trust Award in 2020, Martin James Bartlett, BBC Young Musician of the Year at the age of 17 in 2014, and the pianist Schaghajegh Nosrati, who was supported by Sir András Schiff and made a name for herself in 2015 with a recording of Bach's »Art of the Fugue«, will give their first piano recitals at the Wiener Konzerthaus. The two chamber music ensembles featured in this cycle will also be making their debut at the Wiener Konzerthaus: the Margulis Piano Trio, made up of members of a well-known family of musicians, and the Mariani Piano Quartet, praised as »arguably the most exciting piano quartet of the present day«. BBC New Generation Artist Ema Nikolovska will give her first song recital with an unusually wide-ranging programme. Finally, a special curiosity is offered by Sergey Malov, who plays not only violin but also cello da spalla and thus plays both violin and cello works in his concert.
