Touch, Weightless
Arcadi Volodos continues his Schubert exegesis with the monumental »Gastein Sonata« and pieces by Robert Schumann. The magic of his touch lends the piano sound a weightlessness that, in the words of Franz von Schober, »transports us into a beautiful world«. Before devoting himself to piano playing, Volodos studied singing and conducting. Today he is considered the perfectionist at the piano and represents a pianistic attitude that unfolds its full effect in the live concert experience.
