Alice Sara Ott: Nocturnes with feeling

»With this album, I want to take listeners on a journey through a musical landscape: a landscape full of playful cascades, surprising twists and turns and bittersweet melancholy«, says Alice Sara Ott about her latest passion project, the interpretation of John Field's Nocturnes. Ott juxtaposes the charming romantic pièces by the Irish pianist-composer with a selection of Beethoven's piano sonatas - thematically fittingly his »Moonlight Sonata«, but also his third-last sonata op. 109, whose cantabile and equally virtuoso final movement is one of the most beautiful that keyboard art has to offer. A tour through the classical-romantic piano literature with a specialist for good sound!
