Sad Songs To Cry To
Singer-songwriter Mira Lu Kovacs is the voice of a generation of Austrian musicians who have brought a new quality to Austrian (pop) music. On the one hand, this is probably due to Mira Lu Kovacs' musical background, trained in classical music, jazz and electronics, but on the other hand it is mainly due to the singer's free spirit. Virtuosity and intuition on instrument and voice, countered by directness in the lyrics that is sometimes stretched to the limit, meets with her the courage to pull the existing pop appeal into the future with a certain obliqueness. In recent years, the musician has established a lush little house with a garden in the memory of the music-interested public, both on and off the stage.
At 39, Clemens Wenger has a densely packed musical history as the founder and director of JazzWerkstatt Wien, as one of the heads of the Viennese soul band 5/8erl in Ehr'n, and as a sought-after composer and musician in projects involving contemporary jazz, pop and electronic music. He is engaged in traditional composition and instrumentation of acoustic instruments as well as progressive digital sound design. Mira Lu Kovacs has a longstanding collaboration with Clemens Wenger. Now they can be experienced together on stage with »Sad Songs To Cry To.«
